Job Description

Role Summary As a Calf Feeder, you will play a vital role in supporting the health, growth, and well-being of young livestock. You will be responsible for feeding calves, monitoring their health, maintaining clean and sanitary housing areas, and ensuring all animal care procedures are completed according to company standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare and distribute milk, feed, water, and supplements according to established feeding schedules. Monitor calves daily for signs of illness, injury, or abnormal behavior and report concerns to management. Clean and sanitize calf housing, feeding equipment, and work areas. Assist with handling, moving, and sorting calves as needed. Maintain accurate feeding and animal care records. Monitor feed and supply inventory and notify management of shortages. Follow company biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety policies and procedures. Assist with general farm maintenance and other duties as assigned. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Requirements Previous livestock or agricultural experience preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal care. Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Comfortable working around livestock and farm equipment.
