Job Overview We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Ranch Hand to assist with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a working ranch. This is a hands-on position with a wide variety of responsibilities, including livestock care, grounds and property maintenance, fencing, equipment operation, hauling, and general ranch work. No two days on the ranch are exactly the same, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable taking on different tasks as needed and willing to help wherever necessary. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently, follows instructions well, and can be counted on to show up on time and ready to work each day. Experience working around livestock and operating ranch or farm equipment is strongly preferred. Experience with rodeo cattle is especially valuable. Job Responsibilities Feed, water, and assist with the general care of livestock Safely handle and work around cattle, including rodeo cattle Perform general ranch, property, and grounds maintenance Build, repair, and maintain fencing, gates, pens, and other ranch structures Operate tractors, skid steers, and other small farm/ranch equipment Hook up, haul, maneuver, and back large trailers Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting livestock, equipment, feed, and supplies Perform basic equipment, vehicle, and property upkeep Keep barns, pens, work areas, and ranch grounds clean and organized Assist with repairs and general maintenance projects as needed Perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions Identify problems around the property and communicate needed repairs or maintenance Complete other ranch-related duties and projects as they arise Required Skills & Qualifications Valid driver's license is required Must be able to pass a drug test Must be dependable, hardworking, and punctual Previous ranch, farm, livestock, or similar hands-on work experience preferred Comfortable and experienced working around cattle Ability to safely operate equipment such as skid steers and tractors Experience hauling and backing large trailers Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and working on your feet for extended periods Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Ability to follow instructions and work safely Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed Willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks and help wherever needed on the ranch Reliable transportation to and from work unless on-site housing arrangements are made Must be willing to undergo a background check Professional/work references preferred Additional Skills That Are a Plus CDL Welding experience Mechanical or equipment repair experience Fencing experience Livestock hauling experience Rodeo cattle experience Pay & Housing Position is paid at a daily rate Pay is issued weekly Daily rate will be discussed based on experience and qualifications On-site housing may be available if needed for a single individual Additional details regarding schedule, compensation, and housing can be discussed during the interview process We are looking for someone interested in being a reliable part of the ranch operation—not someone who needs to be constantly supervised. Showing up on time, working hard, taking care of equipment and livestock, and being willing to handle whatever the day requires are essential for this position.
