Job Description

Pure Grass Farm - Internship A Wake Mi Management company Pure Grass Farm raises livestock on 130+ acres in Botetourt County, Virginia. Five miles from the Appalachian Trail. Twenty-five minutes from downtown Roanoke and its food, music, and arts scene. Mountains, trails, and rivers out the back door.
We practice holistic regenerative agriculture:
rotational grazing, intensive management, better soil every season. We grow the best food this land can support. Spend a full growing season with us. Learn hands-on how livestock heal the land. The internship Four-month commitment. $1,500/month stipend, plus a completion bonus.
On-site private housing:
mini-kitchen, full bath, heat, Wi-Fi, laundry. All utilities covered. The employer is Pure Grass Farm LLC, a subsidiary of Wake Mi Management. Your offer, pay, and housing come from Pure Grass Farm LLC. You'll need to Be authorized to work in the U.S. and at least 18 by your start date. Handle physical work, including lifting 50 lb feed and mineral sacks and working outdoors in all weather. We'll talk through reasonable accommodations. Drive, or learn to drive, ATVs and UTVs. Work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays (usually reduced hours). Bring your own vehicle. Housing is on-site. Stay drug- and alcohol-free on the job. No smoking, vaping, or cannabis on farm property or in shared housing. We're looking for someone who Wants a career in agriculture and is hungry to learn. Works hard with or without supervision. Self-starter. Stays off the phone and on task. Communicates well with the team, customers, and visitors. Follows directions and asks good questions. A plus, not required Basic mechanical or construction skills. Comfort with tractors and other equipment, or willingness to learn.
