Competitive and based on experience Benefits Benefits may include: Performance-based bonuses Competitive compensation Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Opportunities for additional hours and advancement Full Job Description We are looking for an experienced Irrigation Installer & Repair Specialist who can help us install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial irrigation systems. We take pride in performing quality work and doing things correctly the first time. Irrigation systems require attention to detail, mechanical ability, problem-solving skills, and an understanding that every property and landscape is different. We are looking for someone who understands irrigation systems from the ground up and is comfortable with both new installations and troubleshooting existing systems . This position can be full-time or part-time . We are willing to consider flexible arrangements for an experienced irrigation professional.
Irrigation Installation Responsibilities may include:
Install complete residential and commercial irrigation systems Lay out irrigation zones and determine proper sprinkler placement Install mainlines and lateral irrigation piping Trench and install PVC and other irrigation piping Cut, fit, glue, and connect PVC pipe and fittings Install sprinkler heads, rotors, spray heads, and nozzles Install valves, valve boxes, manifolds, and solenoids Install irrigation controllers and timers Install irrigation wiring and electrical components Install drip irrigation systems Install and connect appropriate irrigation components Test newly installed systems for leaks, pressure, coverage, and proper operation Expand and modify existing irrigation systems Restore landscaping disturbed during installation Irrigation Repair & Troubleshooting We need someone who can do more than simply replace sprinkler heads. You should be able to diagnose why a system isn't working and determine the appropriate repair.
Responsibilities may include:
Diagnose irrigation and sprinkler system problems Locate and repair broken or leaking irrigation lines Locate buried valves and irrigation components Repair and replace sprinkler heads, rotors, nozzles, valves, and fittings Repair broken PVC and irrigation piping Diagnose low-pressure and poor-coverage problems Diagnose zones that will not turn on or shut off Repair and replace valves and solenoids Troubleshoot controllers, timers, wiring, and electrical problems Diagnose irrigation leaks and excessive water usage Repair drip irrigation systems Adjust sprinkler coverage and correct overspray Expand and add zones to existing systems Perform spring irrigation system activations Perform seasonal maintenance and winterizations Evaluate existing irrigation systems and recommend improvements Mechanical & Problem-Solving Skills This position requires strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability . You should be comfortable working with tools including: Pipe cutters Wrenches Screwdrivers Drills Shovels Picks Hand tools Irrigation testing and diagnostic equipment An understanding of water pressure, flow, hydraulics, valves, piping, irrigation zones, controllers, and electrical troubleshooting is highly desirable. We want someone who enjoys figuring out problems rather than simply replacing parts until something works. Attention to Detail Every job must be completed professionally.
This includes:
Keeping jobsites organized and clean Protecting the customer's property Minimizing unnecessary landscape disturbance Properly backfilling trenches and excavations Repairing disturbed landscaping as closely as reasonably possible to its original condition Cleaning the jobsite at the end of the day Accurately documenting work performed Recording materials and supplies used Customer Service Our technicians interact directly with customers, so good communication skills are important.

A positive and professional attitude Good verbal communication skills Good listening skills The ability to explain irrigation problems clearly The ability to explain recommended repairs to customers Professional and courteous behavior The ability to accurately document completed work and materials Reliability Reliability is extremely important for this position. We are looking for someone who: Shows up when scheduled Arrives on time and ready to work Communicates when problems arise Takes responsibility for their work Works well independently and as part of a team Has a positive attitude Is willing to learn Follows problems through to completion Experience Requirements Applicants must have at least 2 years of professional irrigation installation, service, maintenance, or repair experience . Experience with systems and products from manufacturers such as Rain Bird, Hunter, Toro, Orbit, and similar irrigation equipment is highly desirable. Residential and commercial irrigation experience is welcome. Pond & Water Feature Experience — A Plus Experience with ponds and outdoor water features is a major plus, but is not required for this position.

Pond pumps Pond plumbing Pond filtration systems Waterfalls and water features Pond leak diagnosis Pond liners Skimmers UV clarifiers Koi ponds Water-quality troubleshooting Seasonal pond maintenance If you have significant pond or water-feature experience, please tell us about it. Physical Requirements Applicants must be comfortable performing physical outdoor work, including: Digging and trenching Working outdoors in varying weather conditions Repeated bending, kneeling, and lifting Using hand and power tools Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds Driver Requirements A valid driver's license and insurable driving record are required . Full-Time or Part-Time We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants .
