Workers will harvest apples by hand which entails crouching and climbing an eight foot ladder while carrying a picking basket over the shoulders that can weigh up to 40 pounds. Must be able to stand, walk and crouch for long periods of time in adverse weather conditions. Must be able to operate a 55 HP or larger tractor. Workers will have to thin apples with hand thinning shears. Workers will have to summer prune apple trees using hand pruners. May have to repair trellis for apple trees. May have to train young apple trees. Workers may have to clear land of rocks and debris. May be required to move and install irrigation equipment. Workers may have to harvest plums and pears by hand. Workers will be harvesting pumpkins by hand which entails crouching and lifting up to 50 pounds and walking on uneven ground. May be required to clean and sanitize by use of a pressure washer. 3 months experience is required in harvesting apples and operating a 55 HP or larger tractor.
