Job Description

Farm Manager - Sod Production Eastgate Sod - Cincinnati, Ohio Please read/review complete position responsibilities and qualifications. If you do not have significant experience in agriculture and farm equipment operations, please do not apply. Eastgate Sod is seeking a Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our turfgrass production farm located in the Cincinnati area. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing field operations, production, harvesting, and equipment while working closely with ownership to improve and grow the business. The ideal candidate enjoys agriculture, operating equipment, and managing outdoor work while taking pride in producing a high-quality product. Responsibilities
  • Manage daily sod farm operations including field production and harvesting
  • Plan and oversee fertilization, spraying, irrigation, and turf maintenance
  • Operate and maintain farm equipment and harvesting machinery
  • Coordinate sod harvesting and order fulfillment
  • Maintain field quality and production efficiency
  • Assist with improving productivity and expanding farm operations
  • Manage seasonal labor when needed Qualifications
  • Farming background required. Experience in agriculture, turf management, landscaping, or similar field required.
  • Ability to operate farm equipment and perform basic mechanical maintenance
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage responsibilities independently
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Willingness to obtain an Ohio pesticide license within the first year Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $65,000 (depending on qualifications)
