Status :
Full Time Position, open until filled, onboarding in August 2026

6% health and 6% retirement; paid holidays and sick days In a holistic effort to revitalize the Yuchi language and way of life, the Yuchi Language Project is returning to traditional agriculture and raising Native heritage animals. The land base is the living classroom where the Yuchi Ranch Supervisor maintains daily rhythms that ground language learning in ecological practice. As Ranch Supervisor, you're naturally detail-oriented and the kind of person who follows through on every project. You're energized by working with factual information and practical problem-solving. You prefer to work in a routine, methodical, calm, and steady manner. You've proven yourself working with animals and the land. In this role, you'll apply that competence as a skilled craftsman. You'll anticipate problems, design rotations and systems, mentor and oversee other workers, and solve what doesn't fit the template. You'll notice what needs doing before you're told. You'll build something that works. You're actively choosing to support the Yuchi language and ecological values. You understand that tending this land and stewarding these animals is an act of cultural reclamation.
Key Responsibilities:
◦ Daily animal care and oversight ◦ Supervise and direct other ranch workers ◦ Execution of ranch infrastructure projects
Position Duties:
◦ Coordinate and oversee the daily care and wellbeing of ranch animals including goats, sheep, donkeys, guinea hogs, ducks, chickens ◦ Identify and determine proper treatment for sick animals ◦ Oversee the maintenance of 68 acres of land and restoration of native grasses ◦ Develop and execute plans for paddock rotations and infrastructure projects ◦ Coordinating animal vaccinations and daily maintenance / care ◦ Maintain animal records and care calendars ◦ Oversee the use and maintenance of tools and equipment ◦ On-call for animal emergencies ◦ Will attend Yuchi language classes ◦ Support the organizational mission and ecologically sustainable values
Qualification Requirements:
◦ Expertise in leading ranch operations and animal care ◦ Extensive experience supervising and coordinating other workers ◦ Effectively meets timelines and goals of the organization ◦ Actively wanting to learn the Yuchi language and sustainable ecological values ◦ Flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends ◦ On-call for animal emergencies ◦ High School Diploma or equivalent; higher education is preferred ◦ Hiring preference for Yuchi or Native American candidates ◦ Must pass background check s'@chE gOky@'anE gOyUôndanE chE s@nlA!
