Overview Join our family owned dairy as a Farm Manager, where you will lead and oversee daily farm operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a diverse range of farming activities, from crop cultivation to livestock care, to planning and implementing improvements in sustainability and operations. As a key leader on the farm, you'll coordinate teams, manage equipment, oversee general dairy husbandry. Duties Supervise daily farm activities including planting, harvesting, animal husbandry, and equipment operation to ensure smooth workflow and productivity. Oversee livestock management, including feeding, health monitoring, breeding programs, and humane handling of animals. Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, and heavy equipment like forklifts and power tools. Conduct routine repairs and maintenance on equipment and machinery; perform basic mechanical repairs as needed. Ensure compliance with safety standards in all production processes Manage team supervision, providing guidance on farm tasks, training staff in equipment use, animal care procedures, and safety procedures. Maintain accurate records of farm activities including crop yields, livestock health logs, maintenance schedules, and inventory management. Provide insight into improvements and upgrades in all areas of the farm Qualifications Proven supervising experience in agricultural or farm settings with strong leadership skills. Hands-on experience operating farm machinery Knowledge of animal husbandry practices including livestock handling and animal care standards. Mechanical knowledge for repairing farm equipment Familiarity with safety standards in agricultural production; ability to enforce safety protocols consistently. Experience in outdoor work environments with physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks. Basic math skills for inventory management, measurements, and record keeping; proficiency with power tools for maintenance tasks. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive team environment.
