Overview- Pieri Farm & Vineyard is seeking an Assistant Farm & Winery Manager to join our team and work alongside our lead farmer, Thomas, in the day to day operation and continued development of our farm and vineyard. This is a hands on position for someone who is passionate about small scale agriculture, local food systems, vineyards, and winemaking in Pennsylvania. The role combines field management and planning with the physical, day to day work required to operate a diversified farm and vineyard. The Assistant Farm & Winery Manager will be involved throughout the growing season, from crop planning and planting through cultivation and harvest. Also gaining hands on experience in vineyard management, grape harvest, and wine production. We are looking for someone who wants to take ownership of their work, continue developing their agricultural knowledge, and play an important role in the future of a growing Pennsylvania farm and winery. www.pierifarm.com Primary Responsibilities - Farm Work directly alongside our lead farmer, Thomas, to help manage daily farm operations Assist with seasonal field planning, crop scheduling, planting plans, and harvest timelines Help coordinate and prioritize daily and weekly field work Monitor crops throughout the growing season Assist with greenhouse production, propagation, transplanting, and direct seeding Support irrigation setup, operation, and maintenance Help maintain clean, organized, and efficient farm work areas Responsibilities - Winery Assisting with vineyard planning and seasonal maintenance Harvesting, sorting, and processing grapes Assisting with harvest-season winery operations Schedule Monday-Friday Farm work: weekdays, weather dependent Early mornings required, especially on harvest days Typical 8 hour work day (8-4pm) Qualifications Previous experience working on a farm, vineyard, winery, or in a related agricultural field strongly preferred Genuine interest in small-scale farming, vineyards, and Pennsylvania agriculture Comfortable performing physical work outdoors in changing weather conditions Ability to repeatedly lift 50-70 lbs Strong work ethic and willingness to work hands-on alongside the rest of the farm team Vineyard or winemaking experience is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn is equally important Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is excited about small farms, locally grown food, vineyards, and the growing Pennsylvania wine industry.
