Temporary shift work during Early Voting cycles and
Election Day Core Responsibilities:
Voter Check-In:
Greet voters, request acceptable forms of identification, and look up voter registration status.
Ballot Distribution:
Issue ballots or activate voting machines for qualified voters based ont their designated precinct. Technical Set up: Assist the Presiding Judge with opening and closing the polling place, including setting up equipment.
Voter Assistance:
Provide neutral instruction on how to operate voting equipment and answer general process questions.
Compliance and Security:
Maintain order, ensure voter privacy, and enforce state polling place regulations.
Qualifications:
To be eligible a person must be a registered voter of Collin County or the political subdivision conducting the election.
Mandatory Training:
must attend required election worker training prior to working.
Time Commitments:
Ability to work scheduled shifts and long hours on election days.
Rate of Pay:
$15 per hour
