$35.00•42.00 per hour
Schedule:

You'll work alongside an experienced surgical team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where patient safety is always the top priority. We are seeking an experienced Paramedic to join our Hartford, CT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled clinician who enjoys working in procedural medicine and wants a consistent schedule with no overnight shifts, while continuing to utilize advanced patient care and emergency response skills. Position Summary As the Paramedic, you will work directly with the Oral Surgeon and Surgical Assistants to provide safe, efficient care for patients undergoing IV sedation and dental implant surgery. You'll be responsible for medication preparation and administration, continuous patient monitoring throughout procedures, and responding quickly to any medical emergencies. Responsibilities Prepare, verify, and draw up IV sedation medications according to physician orders. Administer IV medications within your scope of practice and state regulations. Continuously monitor sedated patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Monitor vital signs, airway, oxygenation, ECG, and patient status throughout treatment. Recognize and respond appropriately to medical emergencies. Assist with emergency interventions, including airway management and ACLS protocols when necessary. Collaborate closely with the Oral Surgeon and Surgical Assistants to ensure safe, efficient surgical flow. Ensure emergency medications, crash cart, oxygen, and monitoring equipment are stocked and ready for use. Accurately document medications administered, patient assessments, and procedural events. Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and all applicable clinical standards. Provide compassionate, reassuring care to patients throughout their surgical experience. Qualifications Current Connecticut Paramedic license in good standing. Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing paramedic. Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required). Strong IV access, medication administration, and patient assessment skills. Experience monitoring sedated or critically ill patients preferred. Ability to remain calm and make sound clinical decisions in emergency situations. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Experience in procedural, surgical, emergency department, ICU, or anesthesia settings is a plus. Why Join ClearChoice?
