Position Overview and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the organization and maintenance of records and files relating to the operation of the training academy. Such records include official law enforcement documents, report forms, confidential investigative reports, general administrative records and files, and manuals.

Assists Captain(s) and Administrative Support staff with the proper management and operation of the academy office.

Answering Academy telephones and taking questions/messages from the public.

Entering sworn mandatory training, instructor training, and firearm qualification information on FDLE's ATMS website in-order to maintain officer certifications.

Conducting inventory of supplies and uniform equipment. Manage off-duty requests and paperwork for internal audit.

Completing sworn salary incentive paperwork for officers completing college degrees or specialized FDLE approved courses.

Completing Officer Specialist/Promotional paperwork requests from the field. Completing Quartey Trust fund Salary incentive audits.

Maintain in-service and basic recruit training rosters/files and on Laserfiche.

Answer questions from the public on Justfoia, to include public record requests. Performs other related duties and special projects assigned.

  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Ability to follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
