Locums About the Facility This acute care hospital provides cardiothoracic surgical services in an operating room setting and serves an adult patient population. The facility maintains established clinical infrastructure and protocols to support coordinated surgical care delivery throughout each assigned coverage period. On-site resources are in place to facilitate quality cardiothoracic surgery coverage on a locum tenens basis. About the Facility Location The Kentucky region offers a range of outdoor and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. The area features conservation areas with wildlife encounters, natural sandstone arches, and parks within national forest land that provide opportunities for hiking, camping, and fishing. Clinicians on assignment may also explore local history through museum exhibits covering iron, logging, and railroad industries, alongside a reconstructed log schoolhouse. Entertainment options include waterfront live music events and walkable venues featuring dining, retail, and family-friendly attractions. About the Clinician's Workday The DNP will provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage in an on-site operating room setting, assisting surgeons during operative cases throughout each assigned coverage period. Weekday OR operations run from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with call and 24-hour call coverage required as a condition of this assignment. Weekend call responsibilities include rounding and serving as first call. All clinical documentation must be maintained through the Epic EMR system.
