Please be advised that this is a fully outdoor job. There is no indoor aspect to this particular position and all work related duties are performed outdoors. This is a physical job so you will be on your feet for long periods of time, and heavy lifting is involved. We work in all weather including rain and snow. Proper uniforms will be provided by the company at no cost to the employee. 95% of this job is sanitation. This is a public facing job and requires the individual to be professional, warm, courteous and friendly. This is a hands-on position responsible for: Supervision of the Journal Square SID Street Cleaning Team, as well as supervision of the Clean Team Members who work the surrounding parts of Jersey City, which includes working with and coaching / training the employees on a daily basis Inspecting the district on foot every day Operating and driving company vehicles such as pickup trucks and box trucks Operating company equipment such as weed whackers, blowers and pressure washers Daily reporting and interfacing with the Operations Manager as well as the client Daily reporting on quality of life and code enforcement issues using company issued devices Litter removal from public areas, sidewalks, curb-lines, and parking lots using manual tools and equipment Snow removal from curb cuts and salt spreading Maintenance of public amenity and utility infrastructure including graffiti, poster and sticker removal from telephone boxes, light poles, benches, bus stops, crosswalks, trash cans, building facades and other areas as instructed. Painting light poles, public utilities and mail boxes Landscape maintenance and planting, trimming and cutting weeds through the use of manual tools Weed inhibition on sidewalks and around plantings Set-up and takedown of outdoor dining equipment including tables, chairs and umbrellas. Provide support for special events including set-up and breakdown, placement of signage, furniture and barricades, and other general support duties as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Be a minimum of 18 years of age Organization, communication and interpersonal skills strongly preferred Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate Evidence of a solid work ethic and verifiable work history Experience in landscaping/maintenance/sanitation will get you to the front of the line Experience with managing and supervising teams will get you to the front of the line Supervisory experience is a MUST Valid Driver License with clean driving record is a
