Job Description

Rail-to-Truck Transload Operator Tuscarora Grain Company (TGC) - Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania Tuscarora Grain Company (TGC) is an grain merchandising, storage, and logistics company based in eastern Pennsylvania. TGC operates a rail-to-truck grain transload facility in Bloomsburg, PA and supports grain storage and agricultural operations in Tamaqua, PA.TGC unloads grain railcars into storage bins and tractor trailers while coordinating grain movement throughout the region. We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to independently operate and maintain our Bloomsburg transload facility and support grain handling operations in Tamaqua as needed. Position Summary The Rail-to-Truck Transload Operator will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of TGC's Bloomsburg rail transload facility. This position requires the ability to independently unload railcars, operate grain handling equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and maintain safe and efficient facility operations.

The position will also assist with grain handling and operational support activities at the Tamaqua facility when needed.

This is a hands-on role suited for an individual who enjoys equipment operation, mechanical troubleshooting, independent work, and working in an agricultural and industrial environment. Primary Responsibilities Independently unload grain railcars into storage bins and tractor trailers safely and efficiently. Operate grain unloading, conveying, and grain handling equipment. Monitor grain quality, grain flow, and inventory movement throughout the facility. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on grain handling equipment, conveyors, augers, motors, and related systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical and operational issues. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the transload and grain handling facilities. Assist with inventory tracking and operational documentation. Coordinate with truck drivers, logistics personnel, and management to support daily operations. Assist with grain handling operations at the Tamaqua facility as needed. Operate equipment in a safe manner while following company safety procedures. Complete additional duties and projects assigned by management. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience with grain handling, farming equipment, trucking, rail operations, or agricultural operations preferred. Mechanically inclined with the ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues. Ability to work independently and manage daily operational responsibilities with minimal supervision. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights safely. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work in dusty agricultural and grain handling environments. Applicant must not have wheat allergies or respiratory sensitivities related to grain dust exposure. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round. Strong work ethic with the ability to stay self-motivated and dependable. Ability to maintain accurate inventory and operational records. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred. Willingness to travel occasionally between facilities when needed. High school diploma or equivalent required. CDL license or willingness to obtain a CDL license is a plus. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly compensation based on experience. Overtime opportunities available seasonally. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
