Job Description Join our Providence Saturday Farmers Market and Farm Store team as a dedicated helper, bringing quality, local grass-fed and finished beef, pork, and chicken to our community! As a Saturday team member, you will help create a lively market atmosphere, assist with product sales, and support overall store operations. This paid position is ideal for individuals seeking additional part-time income on the weekend. The position is once a week on Saturdays, your placement alternating every two weeks between working at the indoor and outdoor Providence Farmers Market and staffing the Farm Store in Portsmouth, RI. The hours for the Farmers Market are 7am-2:30pm, while the Farm Store is 10:30am-5pm. MARKET Responsibilities Help move coolers, set up the tent, and table at the Farmer's market. Greet customers warmly and provide in-person customer service to foster positive relationships. Handle sales transactions accurately while addressing customer questions or objections confidently. STORE Responsibilities Staff the Farm Store. Restock display freezers and fridges. Answer any phone calls and customer questions about possible sales. Pack online orders. Qualifications Technical proficiency with Square point-of-sale systems is beneficial. Previous service experience or retail store background is highly preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently. Reliable transportation. Ability to lift heavy boxes and coolers, up to at least 50lbs.
