FSQA Manager Pay Rate- $23.00 Position Summary The FSQA Technician monitors daily food production and distribution activities to ensure products meet company quality standards and applicable food safety regulations. This position conducts quality and GMP audits, monitors critical control points, maintains accurate documentation, and supports corrective actions and continuous improvement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform pre-operation inspections and ATP swabbing to verify production areas are properly cleaned and ready for production. Conduct and document quality and food safety checks, including product temperatures, labeling, portioning, recipe compliance, packaging integrity, and organoleptic quality. Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and ensure corrective actions are completed when specifications are not met. Conduct GMP audits and identify issues related to PPE, equipment, sanitation, housekeeping, and product storage. Inspect incoming deliveries, including truck temperatures, product condition, shelf life, and expiration-date labeling. Calibrate and document scales, thermometers, pH meters, and other monitoring equipment. Perform required shelf-life testing and maintain product retains. Maintain accurate, organized FSQA records and ensure the facility remains inspection-ready. Review departmental documentation for accuracy and compliance. Respond to food safety and quality concerns, determine appropriate action, and escalate issues when necessary. Assist the FSQA Manager with inspections, audits, corrective actions, process improvements, and other quality initiatives. Train production associates on GMPs, food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications 1-2 years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment required. High school diploma or equivalent required. HACCP and/or Food Handler certification preferred. Experience in a chilled or refrigerated food manufacturing environment preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of GMPs and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to document findings, complete reports, and maintain accurate records. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and management. Ability to train employees and implement corrective actions. Comfortable using thermometers, scales, pH meters, and other quality-testing equipment. Ability to work flexible and varied shifts. Ability to work in a chilled/refrigerated production environment.
Pay:
$23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
