Based on experience and qualifications About Sky Limit Crane & Rigging Sky Limit Crane & Rigging is a Florida-based provider of operated crane, rigging, machinery moving, and heavy lifting services. We are seeking dependable, safety-focused individuals to join our Orlando/Central Florida field operations team. This is may be a multi-functional field position supporting our crane, rigging, and machinery moving operations. Depending on experience, qualifications, and operational needs, employees may perform rigging, machinery moving, equipment handling, and general field support duties. We welcome experienced riggers and machinery movers as well as candidates with construction, industrial, or mechanical experience who have the ability and willingness to learn. Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications Overtime paid at 1.5x the regular rate after 40 hours worked in a workweek Double-time pay for Sunday work and Company-recognized holidays Per diem for qualifying overnight travel, based on travel location Company-issued uniforms and required high-visibility apparel Benefits eligibility after successful completion of the 90-day introductory period Paid time off Opportunities for training, advancement, and long-term employment Essential Responsibilities Depending on experience, qualifications, and assigned work, responsibilities may include: Assist with crane, rigging, machinery moving, and heavy lifting operations. Select, inspect, and properly use rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, hooks, spreader bars, and other lifting devices. Assist with attaching, securing, guiding, and positioning loads during lifting operations. Assist with the movement, positioning, installation, and removal of machinery and equipment. Use appropriate tools and equipment associated with machinery moving and rigging operations. Assist with loading, unloading, mobilization, demobilization, and jobsite setup. Perform general field labor and jobsite support as required. Follow instructions from foremen, crane operators, project managers, and other designated supervisors. Follow established hand signals, communication procedures, lift plans, and jobsite safety requirements. Inspect tools, rigging gear, and equipment before use and promptly report unsafe or damaged equipment. Maintain clean and organized work areas, equipment, and Company vehicles. Complete required jobsite and safety documentation. Work safely around cranes, trucks, forklifts, heavy equipment, machinery, and suspended loads. Represent Sky Limit Crane & Rigging professionally on customer jobsites. Qualifications Prior experience in rigging, machinery moving, industrial work, construction, heavy equipment, or a related field is preferred. Experienced riggers and machinery movers are strongly encouraged to apply. Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a demonstrated commitment to safety may also be considered. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to work effectively as part of a field crew. Dependable attendance and ability to report to scheduled jobs on time. Strong commitment to workplace and jobsite safety. Ability to work around heavy equipment and in active construction and industrial environments. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Valid driver's license required. CDL is preferred but not required. Preferred Qualifications Rigging and/or machinery moving experience Qualified Rigger and/or Signal Person training or certification OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Forklift or other material-handling equipment experience Experience using machinery-moving equipment, rigging hardware, and related tools Commercial construction, industrial, infrastructure, precast, or heavy lifting experience CDL Physical & Work Requirements Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the workday. Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, push, pull, and work in various positions. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when necessary. Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather and varying jobsite conditions. Ability to safely work at construction and industrial jobsites and around cranes and heavy equipment. Ability to work early mornings, overtime, weekends, and varying schedules based on project requirements. Ability to travel outside the Orlando/Central Florida area when required for Company projects.
