JUNIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER
Town and Gardens, Ltd. is seeking an ambitious and organized Junior Account Manager to join our client services team. This is an entry-level growth role designed for a professional who is ready to move from field or supervisory work into the craft of portfolio management. You will work directly with our Account Managers to learn the art of client service, proposal development, and high-level site quality management, with a clear path toward owning your own portfolio of iconic NYC landscapes. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape our standards of care and share in the firm's success through performance-based incentives tied to revenue development. Your Impact (Key Responsibilities) Partner in
Management:
Support Account Managers during site walks to document plant health and site conditions. You will turn these observations into professional maintenance and planting proposals.
Master Visual Communication:
Assist in creating presentation materials and visual aids that help clients see the potential in their spaces. You will use your eye for detail to ensure all proposals are clean, accurate, and compelling.
Bridge Office and Field:
You will coordinate information handoffs, ensuring that our field crews have the precise scope, materials, and instructions needed to deliver flawless results.
Proactive Enhancement:
Use your horticultural knowledge to identify and share site enhancement ideas based on seasonal needs and site-specific observations.
Client Advocacy:
Assist with professional client communications and follow-ups, serving as a proactive ambassador for the Town and Gardens brand to ensure timely, high-quality service.
Data Integrity:
Master our software suite (Aspire, Outlook, Google Drive, etc.) to maintain accurate data and generate the documentation that keeps our operations running smoothly. What You Bring (Qualifications)
Horticultural Foundation:
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in urban landscape/ornamental horticulture or a comparable service industry combined with strong plant knowledge.
Technical Proficiency:
Fluent Microsoft Office. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Google SketchUp is strongly preferred to help bring our proposals to life.
Detail-Oriented Mindset:
A positive, problem-solving attitude with the organizational skills to manage multiple moving parts at once.
Professional Drive:
A passion for maintaining beautiful urban gardens and a desire to grow into a full Account Management role.
Education:
Coursework or a degree/certificate in Horticulture or Landscape Design is a plus. Why Join Us?
