Nonexempt Position Summary:

\nSince 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. This role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living.\nThe incumbent in this position supports the activities and responsibilities of the Finishing Department\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

\nProduction lead person or Supervisor of a problem or issue.\nResponsible for learning spray gun set-ups, and any other adjustments and operating requirements in addition to cleaning protocol.\nEnsures correct fluid and air set up is complete for the spray gun and spray booth\nResponsible for completing Daily Spray Booth Checkoff sheet, which includes keeping spray booth filters changed and cleanliness of spray booth.\nUtilizes knowledge of pressure gauges to make decisions.\n

Sealer Sprayer:

\nWill be required to learn how to correctly apply material according to the Sprayers handbook.\nKnowledge of parts specifications and characteristics (type of finish, type of part, and type of wood)\nMust have a working knowledge of spraying all parts of the product in addition to knowing which side you should be spraying on\n

Tools, Machinery and Equipment:

\nSafety glasses and earplugs\nBrush (for cleaning spray gun)\nWrench (to disassemble and assemble spray gun)\nWet film gauge (measures thickness of applied wet coat of finish)\nPressure gauge (determines amount of fluid or air pressure is being used)\n

Additional duties may be assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\nMust be able to read and understand paperwork and or labels.\nMust have good hand and eye coordination.\nAbility to perform spray functions, handling parts, and operating spray equipment.\nAbility to stay-on-task, follow safety guidelines and work process procedures.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.\nMust be a self-starter who works well and can follow a list of daily work assignments.\nPossesses a willingness to learn new ways to enhance productivity.\nMust be able to follow directions well and have good attention to detail.\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.\nDemonstrated skills in planning, prioritizing and time management.\n
