$25.00 per hour Position Summary FireRock is seeking a dependable, hands-on Clubhouse Landscape Supervisor to oversee the care, appearance, and day-to-day maintenance of the landscaped areas surrounding our clubhouse and club facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining a consistently high standard of appearance across the property, including landscape beds, flowers, trees, shrubs, irrigation systems, and other exterior areas. The Clubhouse Landscape Supervisor will lead and work alongside grounds staff, coordinate daily maintenance activities, monitor irrigation and plant health, and ensure the property reflects the high standards expected of a private club. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about landscape maintenance and horticulture, takes pride in the appearance of a property, is comfortable working outdoors, and can effectively lead a small team while remaining hands-on in the work. Essential Responsibilities Grounds & Landscape Management Oversee the daily care and maintenance of landscaped areas throughout the clubhouse and surrounding property. Maintain flower beds, seasonal color, trees, shrubs, ornamental plants, turf areas, and other landscape features. Establish and maintain high standards for the overall appearance, cleanliness, and presentation of the property's exterior. Perform and oversee planting, pruning, trimming, mulching, weeding, edging, fertilizing, and other landscape maintenance activities. Monitor the health and appearance of trees, plants, flowers, and shrubs and identify potential issues before they become significant problems. Coordinate seasonal landscape changes and plantings to maintain an attractive appearance throughout the year. Assist with landscape improvement projects and property enhancements as directed. Irrigation Oversee the operation and maintenance of the property's irrigation systems. Monitor irrigation performance and make adjustments based on weather, seasonal needs, and plant requirements. Identify and troubleshoot irrigation problems, leaks, broken heads, valves, controllers, and other system issues. Coordinate irrigation repairs and outside contractors when specialized work is required. Help manage water usage efficiently while maintaining the appearance and health of the landscape. Team Leadership Supervise, schedule, and direct grounds staff in daily landscape and maintenance activities. Assign work, establish priorities, and ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to established standards. Train employees on proper landscape maintenance techniques, equipment operation, safety procedures, and club expectations. Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to the Director of Facilities. Foster a positive, professional, and service-oriented team environment. Equipment & Operations Operate and oversee the proper use and maintenance of landscape equipment, hand tools, mowers, blowers, trimmers, and other grounds equipment. Maintain an organized and safe equipment and work area. Monitor equipment condition and communicate repair or replacement needs to the Director of Facilities. Maintain appropriate supplies, materials, and landscape products necessary for daily operations. Follow all applicable safety procedures and ensure staff do the same. Club Standards & Member Experience Maintain a clean, attractive, and welcoming appearance throughout the clubhouse grounds. Understand that the appearance of the property is an important part of the overall member and guest experience. Respond promptly to landscaping issues that could affect the appearance, safety, or usability of the property. Work collaboratively with the Facilities Department and other club departments to support events, special functions, and overall club operations. Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy when interacting with members, guests, vendors, and fellow employees. Qualifications Previous experience in landscape maintenance, grounds management, horticulture, or a related field. Experience supervising or leading employees preferred. Working knowledge of irrigation systems and basic irrigation troubleshooting. Knowledge of trees, shrubs, flowers, seasonal plantings, and general plant care. Ability to operate and maintain common landscape equipment. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a high-quality property. Ability to prioritize work, manage daily tasks, and work independently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely lift, carry, bend, kneel, and perform physical landscape maintenance activities. Valid driver's license required. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be someone who takes ownership of the property and notices the details. They should be comfortable leading a team while also being willing to work alongside them. A strong understanding of landscaping, irrigation, plant health, and seasonal maintenance is important, but equally important is having the judgment to recognize what needs attention and taking initiative to address it. Experience working in a private club, resort, hotel, commercial property, high-end residential property, botanical garden, or similar environment is a plus.
Compensation & Schedule Pay:
$25.00 per hour
Status:
Full-Time, Hourly The Clubhouse Grounds Supervisor will work a schedule appropriate to the operational needs of the club and the seasonal requirements of landscape maintenance. Occasional weekends, holidays, or schedule adjustments may be required based on club activities, events, weather, and property needs. Physical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and working outdoors for extended periods. The employee must be able to safely operate landscape equipment and perform the physical requirements associated with grounds and landscape maintenance.
