Fine Gardening Manager Loveland Landscape and Gardens - 5.0 Woods Cross, UT Job Details Full-time $24 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Paid time off Employee discount Safety equipment provided Qualifications Hardscape Outdoor work experience Service scheduling In-person customer service Driver's License Plant disease identification Pest identification CRM system proficiency Pest control chemical handling Crew management Account management Pesticide Applicator's License Delegation Managing horticultural teams Full Job Description Job Summary The Fine Gardening Manager must be thoroughly familiar with and able to perform all aspects of account fine gardening and planter bed maintenance to include estimating, design, ordering, production, scheduling, customer service, training, etc. The Fine Gardening Manager directly oversees Fine Gardening Assistants and at times the Bed Maintenance/Enhancement Crew(s). The Fine Gardening Manager must keep the Maintenance Manager, or General Manager apprised of progress (or lack thereof) of all accounts while coordinating with Fine Gardening and Bed Maintenance Crew(s). The Fine Gardening Manager also will work with other divisions within the company performing quality control.

Maintenance Manager Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in horticultural care. Associates degree in horticulture preferred. Have a clean criminal record. Legal documentation to verify employment eligibility. Driver's license and must be insurable on company's insurance policy Possess a Utah Commercial Pesticide Applicators License Able to manage and delegate multiple crews while working on independent tasks. Able to correctly analyze, diagnose, and treat plants that are in poor health and suffering from disease, insects, improper care, etc. Able to coordinate and supervise company departments and property managers necessary to attend to plant care needs. Proficient in or able to learn Aspire software for CRM, Scheduling, Estimating, Equipment Management Proficient in both oral and written communications. Able to do additional tasks requested during slower parts of season. Able to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
Thoroughly understands and complies with company policy and safety manual. Properly and safely operates equipment. Stays on top of key allotment, tool distribution and property map accuracy. Coordinates with company department heads regarding service status. Oversees the work of company field personnel as it relates to plant health care. Trains Fine Gardening Team and bed maintenance team for proper plant installation and care. Establishing fine gardening and bed maintenance crew schedules for weeding, bed care, installations, and enhancements. Ensures that all plant health care servicing is kept on schedule and on budget. Ensures that all plant health care services for customers are invoiced accurately and in a timely manner. Develop, implement, and schedule an effective preventative maintenance plant health care program for customer base. Ensures that all safety procedures are followed and reports any unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel. Ensures all accidents are properly documented and reported immediately. Ensures all work orders are processed correctly and in a timely manner. Interfaces with clients as necessary. Assist in the Greenhouse Operation to ensure plant health and care is maintained. Assist Landscape Installation by gathering plants from Nursery, and ensuring they are pruned, watered and ready for installation. Perform spray, fertilize and other turf care related tasks during slower times of year. Visiting projects and properties for quality checks. Estimate, sell, and design annual plantings for clients or prospective clients.

M-TH:
7:00am-5:30pm (7 Days a week for snow season)
Compensation/Benefits:
Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off (Sick Days) accrue after 6 months of employment. This position is offered at full-time March-November (40 hrs/wk) and mostly full time December-February helping other divisions within the company (Snow Removal, Greenhouse). $24.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
