In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining beautiful, functional outdoor spaces that enhance the environment and meet client expectations. Your expertise will help ensure landscapes are healthy, vibrant, and well-kept, contributing to the overall aesthetic appeal of residential, commercial, or public properties. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and edging to keep outdoor areas pristine. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, power tools, irrigation systems, and snow plowing machines safely and efficiently. Maintain plant health by identifying plants correctly and managing pests using appropriate pesticide management techniques. Install and repair hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures to enhance landscape design. Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments or repairs. Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and injuries. Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing in winter or garden clean-up in spring to ensure year-round landscape excellence. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment. Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn care, and groundskeeping. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and outdoor equipment for various landscaping tasks. Ability to identify a wide variety of plants and trees accurately; knowledge of horticulture principles is a plus. Familiarity with pesticide management practices and safe handling procedures. Experience operating irrigation systems and troubleshooting related issues effectively. Knowledge of hardscape construction techniques including stonework and pathway installation. Excellent outdoor work experience with a focus on safety protocol adherence. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials or operating machinery for extended periods.
