The Canyon Lake Property Owners Association (CLPOA) is currently accepting applications for a full-time Grounds Maintenance Lead in the Operations Department.

PM PURPOSE:

Ensures that the maintenance of community property meets the standards established for appearance and durability. Supervises Grounds Maintenance Associates, Lake Maintenance Associate, Public Works Associate, and Technicians in the maintenance of grounds, lake, streets, trees, signage, community fences, gates, etc. Essential Functions /

Major Responsibilities of Grounds Maintenance Lead:

• Oversees and directs the maintenance and/or repair to entry gates, streets, parking lots, perimeter fences, curb and gutters, ensuring that trash and debris are removed, weed abatement, and runoff water is flowing properly. Oversees traffic painting curbs, repairs to potholes as needed.
• Oversee all POA property including (but not limited to) lake, buildings, roads, parks, vehicles, docks, beaches and equipment.
• Ensure work areas are always kept in a clean, safe and organized manner.
• Understands Cal OSHA requirements for safety and for handling of hazardous materials and applies this knowledge to prevent accidents and illness related to work.
• Patrols the community and responds to members or others who are reporting spills, fallen trees, dead animals, trash, graffiti, and vandalism.
• Oversees maintenance of playgrounds.
• Assist with community events, holiday preparations, and emergency response when needed.
• Other duties as assigned. Education/ Experience
• Previous grounds-maintenance, landscaping, or facilities-maintenance experience.
• Prior lead-worker or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscaping practices, and equipment operation.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively directing a team.
• Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Available for emergency call-ins for various kinds of situations
