Provide turf maintenance and ball field layout. Direct the work of unskilled employees. Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems. Apply pesticides and fertilizers. Perform other related duties as assigned. Public Works Maintenance Worker Install, test, repair, or replace services, lines, valves, meters, hydrants and backflow devices Operate forklift, tractor loader, tractor mower, brush chipper, truck with or without trailer use a variety of portable power tools and a variety of hand tools Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance including mowing, weeding, pruning trees and shrubs, and picking up litter Perform light janitorial and maintenance duties in City restrooms and buildings Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications we're looking for Gardener Prune small trees and shrubs for health, vigor and public safety. Examination Process:

An oral board interview will be administered. This recruitment will establish an eligibility list that may be used to fill current and future vacancies. This recruitment will be open until filled and may close with little or no notice.

Selection Process:

Final appointment is contingent upon: Positive past employment references. Review of driver history record. Passing a city paid fingerprint criminal conviction check (applicants 18 and older). Passing a pre-employment medical exam and drug and alcohol screening test.

Veterans Credit:
