Job Description

Overview Coastal Wilds is seeking an experienced Groundskeeper / Landscaper to help maintain and improve our park, animal enclosures, landscaped areas, and overall property. This is a hands-on outdoor position for someone who takes pride in keeping grounds safe, functional, and visually appealing. The ideal candidate also has a creative eye and can help develop landscaping designs that improve the aesthetics of the park. Responsibilities Maintain landscaped areas throughout the park and around animal enclosures. Mow, trim, edge, weed, plant, mulch, and perform other routine groundskeeping duties. Safely operate a tractor, lawnmower, weed trimmer, and other basic landscaping and property-maintenance equipment. Help maintain the overall cleanliness, appearance, and condition of the property. Identify maintenance needs and assist with seasonal landscaping projects. Collaborate on landscaping plans and design ideas to improve the appearance and visitor experience of the park. Work carefully and responsibly around animal enclosures, guests, coworkers, and park facilities. Properly care for tools and equipment and report repair or maintenance needs. Qualifications At least 2 years of groundskeeping, landscaping, or related property-maintenance experience. Experience operating tractors, lawnmowers, weed trimmers, and other common landscaping equipment. Knowledge of basic landscaping practices and property maintenance. Strong attention to detail and an eye for attractive, practical landscape design. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete physically active outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a park environment near animal enclosures. Schedule We are open to either a full-time or part-time arrangement. Full-time work generally consists of five 8-hour days per week. Expected hours are approximately 20-40 per week, depending on availability and the agreed schedule. Pay and Benefits $18-$25 per hour, depending on experience. Health insurance. 401(k) retirement plan.
