Full Job Description Job Summary:
A Park Tender is required to maintain the clean and neat appearance of assigned areas, focusing on the exterior of the property and its grounds at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park Trust. Essential Functions:
Empty and clean trashcans Sweep, scrub, mop, power wash, and/or polish common area floors like pavilions and sidewalks. Pick up and remove any debris like garbage or fallen palms and coconuts from parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, walkways, garages, and beach areas. Maintain work areas clean and tidy. Complete all daily special tasks and work orders. Routinely inspect common areas to ensure they are maintained clean and in an aesthetically appealing condition. Maintain equipment, carts, power tools, and other operable vehicles well stocked, clean, and in good working condition ready for next days use. Pressure wash outdoor floors, walk ways, walls and ceilings of pavilions, picnic tables and other common areas. Report any and all maintenance items which include, but is not limited to, burned out lights, leaks, broken boards ,broken trashcans, broken equipment to the Park Supervisor. Observe precautions required to protect other employees, park guests and property, and report damages, theft, and found articles to Park Supervisors. Properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using these equipment's. Have basic knowledge of lawn maintenance equipment, mower, trimmers, blowers. Trained to cover the cashiers at the front gate house when necessary.

Work Environment:
Position requires exposure to the outdoor climate and weather conditions. Moderate noise level.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work with and around chemical cleaning solutions. Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk for extended period of times, climb ladders, crawl in small and tight spaces; stoop and/or kneel; lift and/or move and/or carry up to 30 pounds or more in the work environment. Ability to handle, grasp and feel objects and equipment. Ability to reach with hands and arms. Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/buildings as required, meeting the job functions. Ability to repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Sunday from 7AM until sunset (Open shift availability )
Job Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
Minimum two (2) years working in grounds keeping and janitorial. Knowledge of landscaping and landscape equipment. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products. Must have the ability to react and address all emergency situations in a timely manner. Effective written and verbal communication skills
Pay:
$16.00 per hour
