Grounds Technician Responsibilities:

1. Maintains grounds including, but not limited to, pruning, planting, weeding, and fertilizing trees, shrubs, flowers and lawns, and mulch installation. 2. Mows, trims, and edges lawns. 3. Uses blower to clean landscaped and parking lot areas. 4. Removes snow with shovels, blowers, and plows. 5. Maintains grounds equipment. 6. Ensures grounds are clean and free of trash and debris. 7. Reports and recommends landscaping needs to supervisor. 8. Assists the Maintenance and Housekeeping departments as needed. 9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements Qualifications:

Possess essential knowledge, skills, and abilities to explain, demonstrate, and perform, with or without reasonable accommodations, the duties and responsibilities of the position.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one-year full time landscaping or grounds experience required - supervisory position experience preferred
• Stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, use of power equipment such as power sprayers, blowers, and air compressors.
• Work in an external environment with exposure to inclement weather, and varying temperatures.
• Maintain a valid drivers' license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. stand and walk for extended periods and be able to use a ladder
• Pass background/criminal check
