Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grounds Technician to maintain and enhance our outdoor landscapes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of grounds maintenance tasks, operating landscaping equipment, and ensuring the safety and health of our green spaces. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on horticulture, turf management, and landscape preservation. Responsibilities Operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently to perform tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and general landscape upkeep Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues Maintain and care for horticultural elements, including plants, trees, shrubs, and turfgrass areas Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system functionality Apply pesticides and other treatments responsibly, adhering to safety guidelines and environmental regulations Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems to promote healthy plant growth Perform routine inspections of grounds to identify issues related to pests, disease, or equipment malfunction Support seasonal landscaping projects and ongoing grounds improvement initiatives Qualifications Degree in Horticulture, Turfgrass Management, or a related field preferred Experience with grounds maintenance equipment operation is highly desirable Knowledge of horticultural practices, turf management, irrigation systems, and pesticide application Strong understanding of safety procedures related to landscaping and pesticide use Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual tasks Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about landscape maintenance and horticulture to contribute their skills in a professional setting.
