In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing outdoor spaces to ensure they are beautiful, functional, and safe. Your expertise in landscape maintenance, plant identification, and groundskeeping will help transform outdoor environments into inviting and well-kept areas. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and mulching to keep outdoor areas pristine. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and snow plowing machinery safely and efficiently. Identify different plant species and assess their health; apply appropriate horticultural practices for plant care and pest management. Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes. Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct routine inspections of landscapes to identify issues requiring attention or repair; perform necessary groundskeeping tasks promptly. Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or seasonal planting to maintain year-round landscape quality. Qualifications Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and groundskeeping practices. Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment and power tools. Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management techniques. Ability to operate irrigation systems effectively and perform lawn care duties including mowing and edging. Knowledge of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments; commitment to maintaining a safe workspace at all times. Experience with snow plowing or winter weather maintenance is a plus.
