We're committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to individuals navigating mental health and substance use recovery. Overview We're looking for a reliable, hands-on General Maintenance Worker to help keep our residential communities and office space clean, functional, and well-maintained. This role covers a variety of day-to-day tasks from mowing lawns and general groundskeeping to assembling furniture, mounting TVs, patching walls, and handling small repairs as they come up. You'll travel between properties in the Hyattsville/Takoma Park, MD area and Alexandria, VA, and when a job calls for a licensed professional, you'll help coordinate that outside service. A company truck and gas are provided. Responsibilities Mow lawns and maintain landscaping/groundskeeping at residential communities (trimming, yard upkeep, debris removal) Assemble and move office and residential furniture as needed Mount TVs and install shelving or other wall-mounted items Patch and repair holes in walls, touch-up painting, and general drywall repair Perform general handyman repairs at residential and office properties (non-IT related) Conduct regular walkthroughs of properties to catch maintenance issues early Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize disruption Identify when a job requires a licensed professional or outside service, and help schedule/coordinate that vendor (plumber, electrician, HVAC tech, landscaper, etc.) Maintain accurate logs of completed work and recurring maintenance needs Pick up supplies/materials as needed using company-provided truck Ensure properties remain safe, clean, and well-maintained Skills Experience with lawn care, groundskeeping, or general property upkeep Comfortable with furniture assembly, TV mounting, and similar installation tasks Basic skills in painting, drywall repair/patching, and general handyman work Ability to determine when a task needs a licensed vendor vs. handling it directly Strong organizational skills and reliability Good communication skills; comfortable interacting with staff and residents Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Self-motivated and able to manage time across multiple properties/locations Prior experience in residential or facilities maintenance a plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Company truck and gas provided Standard shift, full-time schedule The opportunity to make a tangible impact with a mission-driven organization A collaborative, supportive team environment Location Based in Hyattsville, MD, with regular travel to properties in the Hyattsville/Takoma Park, MD area and Alexandria, VA.
