Job Description
Overview Join our team as a Venue Maintenance & Groundskeeper, where your hands-on skills will keep our outdoor/indoor spaces vibrant, safe, and inviting. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our venue grounds, and buildings, ensuring they are well-kept and ready for events and daily use. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create an exceptional environment that guests and staff alike can enjoy. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, apply your landscaping expertise, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. Occasional weekend event work is required! Responsibilities Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to keep grounds attractive and healthy Operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers safely and efficiently Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues promptly Use hand tools for planting, soil preparation, and minor repairs around the venue grounds Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair (both indoor/outdoor) Assist with seasonal landscaping projects Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and stored after use for safety and longevity Qualifications Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of lawn care techniques, and landscaping practices Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely with proper technique Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to groundskeeping tasks Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions including standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward maintaining a clean and safe environment This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about outdoor maintenance and a hands on role.
