Interstate 46 Trailers is looking for a dependable, hardworking Lot Maintenance / Yard Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, staying active, and taking pride in keeping a workplace clean and organized. Our lot is constantly changing as trailers arrive, sell, and are moved around the property. We're looking for someone who can help keep everything organized, clean, safe, and ready for our customers. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Move and position trailers throughout the lot using a tractor and other equipment Organize trailers to keep the lot neat, accessible, and easy for customers and employees to navigate Power wash and hand wash trailers as needed Clean and prepare trailers for display and customer pickup Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of trailers throughout the year Keep the property, lot, shop areas, and surrounding grounds clean and organized Pick up trash and debris and perform general property maintenance Perform basic outdoor maintenance as needed Assist with snow removal, shoveling, salting, and keeping walkways and work areas clear during the winter Remove snow and ice from trailers and keep inventory presentable throughout the winter Help inspect incoming trailers for obvious damage or concerns during unloading Assist with positioning trailers for customer pickups, deliveries, photos, or service Perform other general lot, maintenance, and dealership duties as needed What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Is dependable and shows up on time Is comfortable working outdoors in all Michigan seasons Is comfortable operating or willing to learn to operate a tractor and other lot equipment Can safely back up, maneuver, and position trailers or is willing to learn Is able to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision Has good attention to detail and takes pride in keeping things clean and organized Is comfortable performing physical work throughout the day Can lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and work on their feet as required Is willing to jump in and help wherever needed Understands the importance of safely working around vehicles, trailers, equipment, and customers Operating hours (subject to change on/around holidays):

Monday:

10am-5pm

Tuesday:

10am-5pm

Wednesday:

12-8pm

Thursday:

10am-5pm

Friday:

10am-5pm Previous experience with trailers, tractors, towing, landscaping, property maintenance, equipment operation, farming, construction, or similar work is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
