Home / Jobs / Grounds/Maintenance Technician All Open Positions Share Grounds/Maintenance Technician Staff (Full Time) Date Posted August 24, 2026 Office Facilities Applications by: Location Main Campus - West St. Louis County Summary Missouri Baptist University is look to hire a Grounds/Maintenance Technician. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe operation of campus buildings, grounds, and equipment. This role supports the college's educational mission by providing a safe, clean, and functional environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform tasks including but not limited to bed maintenance (hand pulling and chemically treating undesirable bed weeds), watering annual flower beds that are not watered by existing irrigation systems, policing high profile grounds for branches and vegetative debris, clearing building entrances and walkways of vegetative debris. All tasks are intended to maintain a clean landscape appearance. Perform snow and ice removal, including salting walkways and parking areas. Performs daily maintenance of the interior and exterior of campus buildings; makes minor repairs on buildings and their components; paints campus buildings and campus fixtures or furniture; performs refrigeration, plastering, and roofing jobs; may repair plumbing system and replace filters when needed. Conduct regular checks on equipment for preventative maintenance Work with other campus partners to ensure that campus events are setup and ran accordingly. Minimum Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 1 year of property maintenance or related experience. Ability to complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely Preferred Education/Experience Operating machinery experience preferred.
