Painted Ridge Farms - Hillsboro, MO Painted Ridge Farms is a well-maintained 40‑acre horse boarding and riding lesson facility in Hillsboro, Missouri. We are seeking a reliable, safety‑minded Part-Time / Seasonal Groundskeeper to help care for our property, pastures, and facilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on outdoor work, takes pride in well‑kept grounds, and is comfortable operating equipment. Position Overview The Groundskeeper is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our land, buildings, fencing, and farm infrastructure. This role supports both the appearance and functionality of the farm and plays an important part in keeping the property safe and operating smoothly. Hours and schedule are flexible and may vary by season and weather. Key Responsibilities Mowing, trimming, and general grounds maintenance across a 40‑acre property Weed control, fertilization, overseeding, and pasture/hay field maintenance Gravel driveway maintenance and light grading Trail maintenance and upkeep Tree trimming and small‑scale tree removal Fence and building maintenance, including: Hot wire repair Fence post setting Minor building repairs Light equipment maintenance (oil changes, filters, basic repairs) Operation of farm equipment, including: Tractors Bobcat skid steer Hay equipment (training provided), including: Kuhn hay cutter Tedder John Deere round baler Safe operation of chainsaws and other power tools Qualifications Prior groundskeeping, farm, landscaping, or property maintenance experience preferred Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Demonstrated ability to safely operate or learn to operate equipment Experience with tractors, skid steers, hay equipment, or similar machinery is a strong plus Chainsaw and basic mechanical experience highly desired Ability to work independently and take initiative Strong attention to safety, especially around equipment, animals, and fencing Physically able to lift, carry, bend, and perform manual labor What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Flexible, part‑time / seasonal schedule Training on farm‑specific equipment as needed A respectful, family‑oriented work environment A well‑maintained property where your work is visible and appreciated To Apply Please submit a brief introduction along with relevant experience.
