Responsibilities Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools to maintain lawns and landscaped areas efficiently. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as edging, pruning, planting, mulching, and weed control to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy. Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests to ensure proper care and pest management strategies are implemented effectively. Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules for different types of landscapes. Use hand tools and grounds maintenance equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries. Conduct snow plowing or snow removal operations during winter months to keep properties accessible and safe. Assist with hardscape projects like installing pathways or retaining walls as needed to enhance landscape design. Requirements Previous outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance or landscaping is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of lawn care equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and hand tools. Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, pruning techniques, and soil management. Ability to operate groundskeeping machinery such as mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and snow plows safely and efficiently. Familiarity with pesticide management practices and safety protocols related to chemical application. Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; ability to lift heavy equipment or materials when necessary.
