About Us We are a specialty horticulture company focused on ornamental garden maintenance. We are not a design-build firm or general landscape contractor, and we do not provide lawn or turf care services. What We Do Our primary work is maintaining gardens, flowerbeds, and ornamental plants. The majority of the work involves weeding, pruning, and trimming hedges and shrubs. Our work also includes decorative containers, seasonal plantings and displays, plant health care (PHC), holiday decorating, and interior plantscaping. What You'll Do Most work takes place at client sites, with regular time at our shop. All team members will work with fertilizers and pesticides. Skills & Experience We Value A strong foundation in gardening is essential. Key skills and knowledge include weeding, pruning, and hedge trimming, plant identification (including weeds), pest and disease identification, understanding of plant-specific environmental conditions, and experience with the design, installation, and maintenance of decorative containers, seasonal plantings, and seasonal displays. Position Available Assistant Gardener (Part-Time) - Entry-level (with experience working outdoors) to experienced gardeners Who We're Looking For We prioritize character over skills. The ideal candidate is organized and methodical, self-motivated and professional, honest and dependable, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and career-minded with a desire to grow with the company. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Candidates must
enjoy working outdoors and be prepared to work in inclement weather
be in good physical condition and able to endure frequent bending, squatting, and repetitive motions
be able to work on elevated platforms such as step stools, ladders, and scaffolds for extended periods
have good customer service skills
be willing to work long hours and weekends when needed
be able to lift and carry 60 pounds repeatedly
Have a clean driver's license and background Experience & Education
hands-on experience working specifically in horticultural maintenance is a plus
Formal training/education a plus Pay is commensurate with experience
Pay:
