Duties Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces Operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently Identify various plants, shrubs, trees, and pests to support plant health and proper landscape care Support hardscape projects by preparing sites, laying materials, and maintaining pathways or decorative features Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment Maintain cleanliness of work areas by removing debris, trimming overgrowth, and performing routine grounds upkeep Assist with irrigation system installation and repairs to ensure proper watering of landscapes Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience or background in gardening or landscaping is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for outdoor environments is essential Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment is highly advantageous Basic understanding of horticulture principles and plant identification skills are a plus Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively Knowledge of pesticide management practices is beneficial for supporting healthy plant growth Strong adherence to safety protocols with a focus on safe operation of equipment and outdoor work practices Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in landscape maintenance This position is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals eager to gain practical experience in landscaping while contributing to vibrant outdoor spaces.
