This energetic position involves performing a variety of groundskeeping, landscaping, and maintenance tasks to ensure landscapes are healthy, safe, and visually appealing. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and landscaping skills to support the ongoing beautification and upkeep of commercial or residential properties. Duties Assist with landscape maintenance including pruning, planting, and watering to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as trimmers, blowers, power tools, and excavators safely and efficiently. Support hardscape projects by preparing sites, laying pavers or stones, and installing features like pathways or retaining walls. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or clogs, adjusting controllers, and performing repairs as needed. Identify plants accurately to ensure proper care and apply pesticides or fertilizers following safety protocols when necessary. Perform snow plowing and removal during winter months to keep outdoor areas accessible and safe. Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents while working with hand tools, power tools, or heavy machinery. Experience Previous outdoor work experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or horticulture is highly desirable. Familiarity with landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning, planting, and irrigation system management. Mechanical knowledge related to operating landscaping equipment including , excavators, and tree care tools. Ability to identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests relevant to landscape health Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor tasks.
