SUMMARY:

Responsible for carrying out all routine grounds maintenance tasks of the Cimarron Trails Golf Course and its associated facilities in accordance with all established policies, procedures and internal control standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for cutting trees, greens, surrounds, fairways, rough and semi rough greens in accordance with planned design of landscaped areas. Set up the golf course, including changing holes, moving tee markers, indicating OOB, Drop zones and hazards. Prepare and maintain machinery. Assist with renovating worn or damaged turf. Help identify and control pests and diseases in order to maintain a pleasant environment for employees and guests. Apply top dressing and fertilizers as needed and scheduled. Helps overseas the care and maintenance of the turf, ornamental plants, shrubs, and trees on the facility grounds. Assists with the planting of new vegetation, the replacement and arrangement of plant beds, and the pulling of weeds. Cleans buildings and grounds, washing windows and empties trash cans. Repairs and paints any needed property on the grounds in order to keep all grounds in acceptable condition. Assists with snow removal and winter maintenance activities when necessary. Position requires a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

AND/OR EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Previous experience as a grounds man or with landscaping preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
