Job Description:

The position provides overall grounds and maintenance service conducive to provide burial, landscaping, and burial marker installation services Job Responsibilities may include: Assist in performing openings & closings for burials, entombments, and inurnments\nOperating a mower, weed eater and blower\nDigging graves, placing headstones, hauling dirt, set up and tear down of gravesites.\nSets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers\nInstalls outer burial containers\nHandles and completes work orders from client families as it pertains to individual grave and marker maintenance\nResponds to and completes requests for service/work orders\nConducts 25-foot radius preparation for burials and ensures the area is clean and neat\nFills grave, tamps, seeds or sods\nAdheres to all Company safety rules and Universal Precautions\nMaintains a clean and orderly work area\nCompletes Dignity training as assigned\nAdheres to all standards of the Dignity Memorial Promise\nPerforms all other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

Acceptable driving record and applicable license(s) to operate equipment/vehicles

Experience:

Minimum of six (6) months experience operating standard equipment\nAbility to operate hand-held tools and equipment, including, but not limited to a shovel, pick, rake, sledgehammer, lawn mower, weed trimmer, leaf blower, chain saw and pump\nAbility to operate mechanical equipment including, but not limited to, a dump truck, tractor, utility vehicle, marker trailed, dump trailer, jack hammer, tamper, and backhoe\nAbility to accurately use measuring devices (i.e., tape measure, yard stick, etc.)\nAbility to communicate effectively with fellow associates, contractor personnel and client families\nAbility to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.

Operating a mower, weed eater and blower

Digging graves, placing headstones, hauling dirt, set up and tear down of gravesites.

Installs outer burial containers

Handles and completes work orders from client families as it pertains to individual grave and marker maintenance

Responds to and completes requests for service/work orders

Conducts 25-foot radius preparation for burials and ensures the area is clean and neat

Fills grave, tamps, seeds or sods
