Job Description

OVERVIEW

DeSales University, in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, is a Catholic, private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts university. Founded by the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales in 1964, the 550-acre suburban campus is located about 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 90 miles southwest of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,000 includes undergraduate day, evening, and graduate students. EOE POSITION SUMMARY

The groundskeeper has the overall responsibility of maintaining the campus grounds and all equipment used by the department in the maintenance of grounds and snow removal.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma/GED Ability to make independent decisions, use good judgment and demonstrate integrity Proven ability to interact professionally and communicate effectively with individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds. Must be able to work overtime upon supervisor's request or workload Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license, transportation, and a clean driving record Maintains an on-call status for emergency problems Must be able to lift 50lbs, work in lifts and bucket trucks, operate forklifts and tractors and other equipment as needed Must be able to work in all weather conditions Must pass criminal and drug background checks Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity Dedicated to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts DeSales University is an EEO employer -
