Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Greenkeeper to join our dynamic golf course maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the pristine condition of the golf course, ensuring optimal playability and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise will help create an exceptional experience for golfers by delivering high-quality groundskeeping and landscaping services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, apply your skills in turf and landscape management, and contribute to the beauty and functionality of our course. Responsibilities Maintain the golf course grounds. Operate greenkeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers with a focus on safety and efficiency Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, weed control, and soil preparation to enhance course aesthetics Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting while adhering to proper lifting techniques Skills Proven experience in golf course greenkeeping or athletic field maintenance with a strong understanding of turf management practices is preferred. However, we will consider candidates with no experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping who show a strong interest in learning about our trade or love the game of golf! Proficiency in operating golf course maintenance or landscaping equipment is preferred but will consider candidates who show a strong interest in learning about golf course greenkeeping! Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely involving heavy lifting and use of hand tools Familiarity with equipment maintenance routines to ensure longevity and optimal performance of groundskeeping tools is preferred but we will train anyone who shows interest in learning about the time honored profession of greenkeeping. Strong understanding of equipment safety protocols and proper operation of grounds maintenance machinery Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently outdoors in varying weather conditions Join us in creating a vibrant, well-maintained golf course that offers an exceptional experience for players.
