In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining outdoor spaces and ensuring safe, accessible pathways during winter months. Your expertise in landscape maintenance, snow removal, and groundskeeping equipment operation will help create inviting environments that enhance property appeal and safety. Duties Operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and power tools to maintain lawns and landscaped areas efficiently. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, tree trimming, and garden care to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues for optimal plant health. Conduct snow removal operations using shovels, snow blowers, plows, and other ground maintenance tools to keep walkways clear and safe during winter storms. Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and pest management; apply pesticides following safety protocols when necessary. Adhere strictly to safety procedures while operating equipment or performing outdoor work to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with grounds maintenance projects such as soil preparation, fertilization, and landscape design enhancements. Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or related fields is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools is essential for safe operation and maintenance. Strong understanding of horticulture principles including plant identification and plant care techniques. Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is a plus. Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, snow plows, and hand tools confidently. Familiarity with safety protocols related to outdoor work environments is required to ensure a secure workspace. Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and performing manual tasks in various weather conditions.
