Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Crew Leader specializing in Lawn Maintenance to join our outdoor services team. In this energetic role, you will lead a crew responsible for delivering top-quality groundskeeping, landscape maintenance, and lawn care services. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage outdoor construction projects, oversee landscaping tasks, and cultivate beautiful, well-maintained environments that exceed client expectations. Duties Lead and supervise a team of lawn care and landscape maintenance crew members, providing clear direction and motivation. Oversee daily operations including lawn care, landscaping, hardscape installation, and grounds maintenance activities. Manage irrigation systems, perform irrigation installation and repairs, and ensure proper watering schedules for healthy plant growth. Identify various plants, trees, and ground cover to ensure proper care and maintenance; provide horticultural guidance as needed. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and company vehicles safely and efficiently. Coordinate outdoor work projects including landscaping design implementation, tree care, gardening tasks, and construction projects. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times; conduct safety briefings and maintain a safe working environment for the team. Manage crew schedules, assign tasks effectively, and monitor project progress to meet deadlines. Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment usage, and project documentation for accountability. Experience Proven supervising experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance or groundskeeping roles. Extensive outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment operation. Strong knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification and tree care techniques. Experience managing irrigation systems and troubleshooting irrigation issues on-site. Background in landscaping or hardscape installation with familiarity in construction processes related to outdoor environments. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in outdoor settings. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles; familiarity with construction projects is a plus.
