Job Overview Turfscapes is looking for a dependable, hardworking Lawn Maintenance Crew Member to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining commercial and residential properties to Turfscapes' standards and making sure every property looks clean, professional, and well-maintained when we leave. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to details, works well with a team, and is willing to learn. Previous lawn maintenance experience is helpful . We can teach you how we want the work done but we need someone who is dependable, willing to work, and committed to doing the job right. Duties Mow lawns at the correct height for the property and turf type. Keep mowing height consistent throughout each property. Edge sidewalks, curbs, driveways, and other hard surfaces. String trim areas that cannot be safely reached with a mower. Blow off sidewalks, parking lots, patios, entrances, and other hard surfaces. Keep grass clippings out of landscape beds, streets, and parking lots. Maintain landscape beds by removing visible weeds, trash, and debris. Maintain clean tree rings and bed edges. Prune shrubs and plants using proper techniques. Assist with seasonal cutbacks and other plant maintenance. Pick up trash, limbs, leaves, and other debris while working. Watch for irrigation problems, damaged plants, weeds, insects, disease, and other property issues. Report problems to the Crew Leader instead of ignoring them. Help load, unload, clean, and maintain trucks, tools, and equipment. Follow all company safety procedures and properly operate equipment after training. Work as part of a team to complete the route efficiently without sacrificing quality. Follow and complete the Turfscapes Core 3 on every visit. Follow all PPE requirements. Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training. Perform any other assigned duties. Maintaining a professional company image. Physical Requirements This is outdoor work in East Texas conditions .

Employees should be able to:

Work outside in heat, cold, and changing weather conditions. Walk and stand for extended periods. Bend, lift, pull, push, and carry throughout the workday. Safely lift and carry landscape equipment and materials. Operate mowers, string trimmers, edgers, blowers, and other landscape equipment after proper training. Experience Landscape maintenance experience is helpful. 1-2 years of experience (required) Mechanical knowledge related to lawn maintenance and or landscaping equipment operation is a plus Familiarity with horticulture principles, plant identification, and garden care techniques is beneficial Ability to follow safety procedures diligently while operating power tools and heavy equipment Strong work ethic with the motivation to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions Basic understanding of irrigation systems, tree care, and lawn care practices Excellent teamwork skills and a proactive attitude toward grounds maintenance and landscaping projects We can teach you how Turfscapes wants the work done. Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
