Join our dynamic landscaping team as a Landscaping Crew Member and play a vital role in transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful, functional environments. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors in various weather conditions, utilizing your skills in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and equipment operation. You will contribute to creating and maintaining stunning landscapes that enhance community aesthetics and provide enjoyable outdoor experiences for clients. This paid position is perfect for individuals passionate about outdoor work, horticulture, and landscaping craftsmanship. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning to ensure healthy and attractive grounds. Operate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, excavators, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Identify different plant species and assess their health; manage pest control using proper pesticide management techniques. Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes. Execute hardscape projects including the installation of pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and removal while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with snow plowing and winter maintenance when seasonal conditions demand it. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment. Extensive outdoor work experience with a focus on landscape maintenance and gardening practices. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment like excavators for various landscaping projects. Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, soil health, and landscape design fundamentals. Familiarity with irrigation systems installation, troubleshooting, and repair techniques. Ability to follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently on diverse landscaping tasks.
