Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper/Maintenance professional to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance, safety, and functionality of outdoor grounds, including athletic fields, landscaped areas, and other outdoor spaces. Your proactive approach and hands-on skills will ensure that our facilities remain vibrant, safe, and inviting for all visitors and users. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, fertilizing, and watering to keep grounds lush and healthy. Operate ground maintenance equipment including lawn mowers, chainsaws, power tools, irrigation systems, and other landscaping machinery safely and efficiently. Maintain athletic fields by ensuring proper turf care, aeration, fertilization, and pest management to support optimal playing conditions. Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage across all landscaped areas. Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify issues such as damaged equipment or unsafe conditions; perform manual handling tasks like heavy lifting when necessary. Manage pesticide applications following safety protocols to control pests while protecting the environment. Perform general maintenance duties including equipment upkeep, landscaping repairs, gardening tasks, and ensuring power tool safety standards are met. Operate company vehicles responsibly for transportation of tools and materials to various sites. Assist with special projects related to grounds improvement or seasonal landscaping initiatives. Qualifications Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance with knowledge of horticulture principles. Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, lawn care equipment, and grounds maintenance machinery safely. Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and repair as well as athletic field groundskeeping techniques. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique. Knowledge of pesticide management practices aligned with safety regulations. Strong understanding of golf course groundskeeping or sports field maintenance is a plus. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles and grounds equipment responsibly. Excellent attention to detail combined with physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions.
