Also may learn Landscape construction if interested. Duties Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and watering to keep outdoor areas pristine. Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and snow plows safely and efficiently. Identify plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and health; apply horticultural knowledge for plant health improvement. Perform landscape installation projects including hardscape work like patios or walkways, as well as planting beds and garden setups. Manage irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure optimal watering schedules. Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and maintain a secure work environment. Support seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or fall cleanup to keep properties accessible and attractive year-round. Requirements Prior outdoor work experience or background in grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience operating landscaping equipment and hand tools. Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices including mowing, edging, pruning, and plant identification. Familiarity with pesticide management, irrigation systems, and horticulture principles is a plus. Ability to follow safety procedures meticulously while working with power tools and heavy equipment. Excellent physical stamina for lifting, bending, digging, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
