Our family-owned and operated franchise in Spencer, MA is hiring a Lawn Care Technician - Pesticide Applicator. No previous lawn care or pesticide application experience is required, and we provide training to help you get started. This is an outdoor, route-based position with opportunities to build customer relationships, develop expertise, and grow your earnings through production and add-on service sales. Employees must obtain a Massachusetts Pesticide License within two weeks of starting.
We Offer:
Pay rate $23/hour after pesticide license obtained Average earnings of approx. $25/hour based on production 8% commission on add-on service sales Medical, dental, life, and disability insurance Simple IRA, paid time off, referral bonuses, and company outings Schedule starting at 7am daily Mon-Fri Occasional Saturdays and additional hours during peak season Off-season full-time employment through door-to-door lead generation or holiday décor team
Requirements:
At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED Valid Massachusetts driver's license with 3+ years of driving history Clean driving record Ability to walk large properties (up to 200,000 sq. ft.) and lift up to 50 lbs. Obtain MA pesticide license within two weeks of start date Experience with face-to-face customer service Strong communication and time management skills Self-motivated, accountable, and able to work independently Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather Successful completion of a background check
Responsibilities:
Manage and service a daily route of customers Apply lawn and pest control/pesticide treatments Explain treatments and provide recommendations Build strong customer relationships through professional service Meet service, production and sales goals Maintain equipment, vehicle, and a professional appearance Complete service documentation accurately Support team members as needed
